Balcony Woman Shae
I have been blessed with many Balcony Women in my life. One such woman is Shae. I met Shae at church. As young mothers, we both attended a Mothers’ Fellowship group. Our friendship has grown as we experienced the joys and concerns of motherhood together from our children attending the same church preschool, high school and now college.
I consider Shae to be a Balcony Women because I have witnessed her lift up other women by encouraging them in their struggles and their joys.
She is a blessing to many and sets an example by fulfilling the scripture “Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing”. (1 Thessalonians 5:11) in her everyday life.
She has become my personal Balcony Woman as she has encouraged my daughter through words and deeds at times in my daughter's life that others have not been as encouraging.
Shae listened, encouraged and gave me honest insight as I shared my desire to start a ministry for widows.
She shares my desire to love on the precious widows in our community and has partnered with me to host two widow socials each year. Our first dinner in 2015 hosted 86 ladies. Our ministry is growing as we had 337 reserve to attend our Lemonade & Laughter 2018 summer dinner.
Balcony Women originated out of our desire to support and uplift women and to help fund our widow dinners.
I pray you seek and find Balcony Women to your life and be a Balcony Woman to others. Lifting them up and encouraging them!
What a wonderful ministry!
