Be like Jena!

Jena started serving in kids ministry at BattleCreek as Austin’s third grade small group leader. She moved up with these girls until 7th grade and went to camp with them every summer—took vacation as a NICU nurse to go!

I have always said Jena needs to lead a seminar on how to be a small group leader! She’s the best. When I think of Jena, 1 Thessalonians 2:8 comes to mind, “We cared so much for you that we were pleased to share with you not only the gospel of God but also our own lives, because you had become dear to us.” That’s Jena.

Even when she moved on to another church, she continued to send cards, lead a summer bible study on her own at her house, take the girls to dinner..I could go on and on.

But mostly what she did was live a life that looked like Jesus and poured God’s word and godly wisdom in their lives. AND she showed them that waiting for Mr. Right who loves Jesus is worth it. And for that I will be forever grateful! Today we got to celebrate the bride to be! Jena VP! I love you and am so so thankful for you.
